Hayes, a KC-10 aircraft maintenance instructor with 12 years of military service, is assigned to the 82nd Training Wing, McGuire Air Force Base, Trenton, N.J.
A 1988 graduate of Lemon Bay High School, Hayes is the son of Carol Padilla of Englewood.
