To the Editor:
Every year, thanks to the generous donations of many organizations, businesses and individuals, children around Gasparilla Island are able to go Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart accompanied by Charlotte County sheriff's deputies, police officers and other law enforcement officials.
This year, as with most years, additional donations are made by shoppers who notice what is going on and want to help.
