The Boca Grande United Methodist Church 29th annual pancake breakfasts series began Thursday, Feb. 7. Several hundred people enjoyed grits, eggs, sausage, toast, pancakes, juice and coffee, cooked and served by nearly 40 volunteers.
The popular event will be held 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. every Thursday through March 28 in the Fellowship Room of the Methodist Church.
There is no charge for the breakfast but contributions are welcomed. The money raised goes to local charities. In 2012, the breakfasts raised $9,000.
